(STONE SOUR) Q-REVIEW RE-RELEASES: STONE SOUR - STONE SOUR

Q Magazine
March 2004

Three stars
(Q rating - "Good, not for everyone, but fine within its field")

"Slipknot stars' grungy "other band"

He might have made his fortune screaming "People = Shit", but Corey Taylor is a decent chap.
On joining Slipknot he told his former Stone Sour bandmates he'd return to help them, just as Eminem did with his useless buddies in D-12. True to his word, Stone Sour regrouped in 2002 while Slipknot were resting and the resulting album  - neo grunge with bursts of metallic fury - has sold half a million copies in the US. This expanded edition features five new tracks and a DVD of videos and home-movie footage, none of it as interesting as the original album's Top 30 single, Bother
