(AMERICAN HEAD CHARGE) More punishment, if you please...

Portsmouth Evening News

American Head Charge,
The Wedgewood Rooms, Southsea

Bathed in inferno-red light, shrouded in smoke and resembling daemons from the dark abyss, with tormented souls of the crowd wailing and writing in front of them, it genuinely looked as if AHC had opened the very mouth of hell in Portsmouth.
They meted out punishment to the damned, who were grateful to receive the behemoth slabs of pure but depraved metal brutalities.
Musically, they have taken all the best bits from their peers (Fear Factory, M Manson, NIN et al) and corrupted them to suit their own twisted version of human cruelty and selfishness with sublime and sinful effect.
If Slipknot are the cheerleaders of Satan then AHC are the doormen on his gates and if they are, I wanna be on the guest list.
