Muse Interview (fuse - "Daily Download")

DOMINIC: …things really...and I was kind of aware of his work, (and he's called Storm Thorgerson by the way), and he does really cool surreal photography based stuff, so we wanted to, you know, we spoke to him and talked about a few ideas and came up with it.
MALE HOST: It's very cool stuff
FEMALE HOST: Alright, we're going to take a very quick break, but when we come back, more of the most downloaded songs in the country, and more of these guys here...Mooze!
(BACK IN THE STUDIO AFTER COMMERCIAL BREAk)
MALE HOST: Hangin' out playin' 'Star Wars Republic Commando' on XBOX, and we're countin' down the most downloaded songs in the country, but more importantly right now, we are hanging out with Muse!  
MATTHEW: Hello...
FEMALE HOST: So, you guys had a good night last night? 
MATTHEW/DOMINIC: Yes...
FEMALE HOST: Did you guys ever go to bed?
MATTHEW: Still kind of...uh...yeah, still going technically
DOMINIC: Really, yeah, we were in um what was it...Happy..."Happy Ending". But, uh, we're still waiting for that happy ending. 
FEMALE HOST: For those of you that don't know, "Happy Ending" is a really cool cool place in New York. Don't get any crazy ideas, okay. It's just..A BAR!!!
MALE HOST: Just a bar...
FEMALE HOST: And, um, who are the people you guys are digging right now? Like who are guys listening to? What bands?
MATTHEW: Um, that new album's pretty good...
DOMINIC: Yeah. Nine Inch Nail's album is genius. The new...
(Crowd start cheering) 
DOMINIC: Um, there's a band called Louis XIV. I listen to a lot of that. That's really cool.
MATTHEW: I love (I haven't heard it yet) but I love everything that Wheezer do, so I'm sure it's...
(Cheers and claps from the crowd)
MALE HOST: Well, stick around. I think they are going to be on our countdown in a little...
FEMALE HOST: Yeah, you guys can check out the video. It's very hot. 
MALE HOST: Now, you guys went through...you formed when you were very young... 
MATTHEW: Too young. Too young, yeah?
MALE HOST: You went through a bunch of different name changes, or something like that?
MATTHEW: Uh, Carnage Mayhem...
DOMINIC: Gothic Plague...
MATTHEW: Gothic Plague was a highlight, uh Rocket Baby Dolls was a Japanese porn film, which was very influential to our image at the time...
(LAUGHTER from hosts, especially male)
MATTHEW: But we settled with 'Muse', we thought we would go for the neutral kind of, you know, lukewarm water...
FEMALE HOST: Wow, those are some good names...(to the camera) All right, we'll have more of Muse in just a bit, but now it's time for Number Three...
(PRESENTLY BACK IN THE STUDIO)
FEMALE HOST:...We are here back in the studio, hanging about with MOOOZE...
MALE HOST: All right! Yeah! So Stockholm Syndrome is coming out as a video, so we can expect to look for that. Anything else you guys got goin' on?   
MATTHEW: We're actually kind of going to start touring next week. We've got our dates you can find on the website, and um, yeah, we're going to be out sort of going to sort of Midwest, we are going to red states only apparently. 
MALE HOST (LAUGHING): 'Red states only'
MATTHEW: Looking forward to Kansas.
FEMALE HOST: Middle America, get ready for Muse. Yeah, baby!
MALE HOST: They're going to love 'em

Muse summer single announced

NME 6th April 2002 Single and DVD set for June Release  “We've got a new single coming which is really fucking heavy rock" — Matt Bellamy  Muse release a brand new double A-side single this summer, and also hope to finish their third album this year, NME can reveal.  Speaking exclusively to NME , singer Matt Bellamy said that the group had started recording demos for the follow-up to their 'Origins Of Symmetry' album, and will release double A-side single, 'Dead Star'/'In Your World' on June 3. Both tracks are taken from a new DVD, Hullabaloo , which follows on June 17.   Hullabaloo is a double DVD release, with one disc featuring 18 live songs from their 2001 tour, recorded over two nights at the Paris Zenith, and the second containing documentary footage from a number of dates across the world.   Bellamy said, "We did a concert in Paris which we recorded for a DVD.
