(MURDERDOLLS) Great fun

Wednesday 13
Wedgewood Rooms, Southsea

The city graveyards must have been empty on Monday night because all the ghouls of Portsmouth were at the Wedge watching Murderdolls frontman Wednesday13 raise some of the old songs from the dead.
With Murderdolls out of action due to guitarist Joey returning to Slipknot for a year, Mr 13 decided to carry on rocking anyway - and how.
Dressed in skeleton suit and with white zombie make-up he stalked the stage backed by Florida's Death Becomes You and trawled through a selection of hits from his old band - Frankenstein Drag Queens - as well as a few Murderdolls numbers (Love At First Fright, 1976-6-6) and a storming cover of the Ramones' Pet Cemetary.
The ghosts of Alice Cooper, Twisted Sister and even The Cramps never seemed far away and, while shock rock may not be that shocking any more. It was still great fun.
